The Hot List June '09
Time for the June 2009 Hot List. Better late then never!!! We have a few new players debuting on the list, and a tribute to a couple players that were lost to injury. Enjoy.
Position Players
- Michael Vass: Vass had a big month to make his debut on the hot list. In June, he put up a .306 average and got on base at a .371 clip. He also slugged at a rate of .435 giving him a team leading .806 OPS. Great production at a time when the Rattlers really needed it.
- Corey Kemp : Corey continues to hold a spot in the hotlist, dropping one spot from May. He has remained on the list since his debut with consistant play. June was another solid, if not specatacular month. He posted a .277 average, but backed it up with a stellar .400 on base percentage. He chipped in a .349 slugging percentage to bring his ops to a solid .749.
- Chris Dennis: Dennis dropped one spot from May. Unfortunately he was lost to an injury at the end of the month, but we hope to see him back yet this season. He put up a .260 average with a decent .744 OPS.
- Steve Braun: Another injury victim who is likely done for the season, Braun makes his debut on the hotlist anyhow with a respectable A ball debut. He put up a .286 average, .390 obp and .371 slugging for a nice .761 OPS. Hopefully he'll be able to come back next season and repeat those numbers.
Dropping Out: Brett Lawrie, Brock Kjeldgaard.
